An early 19th century Purbeck marble sundial; the square section: the bronze dial with shaped gnomon, surmounted by a dolphin, the dial with motto “I stand amid ye summer flowers, to tell ye passing of ye hours”, bearing a date for 1817; the sundial base with square moulded top on a tapering panel support and stepped plinth--
