A pair of composition stone sphinxes, English, late 19th century. The base indistinctly stamped 'Croggon'. William Croggon married the daughter of Eleanor Coade and succeeded to the 18th century Coade Stoneworks in Lambeth in 1814.

Dimensions: 107 cm long, 80 cm high

Condition: Good condition. No repairs. Relief a little affected due to erosion.
